You added the installation code or installed the app, but the widget did not appear in the corner of your site. Without the widget, visitors cannot start a conversation, and chances to help them slip by while you believe setup is done. In most cases, the address you visited, the code placement or the app connection status is off.
How to fix
- For a widget you installed yourself, check that the domain the widget key was issued for matches the address you visited.
shop.example.com,example.comandlocalhostare different domains, so for another domain, issue a new key for that domain and add it. - Check that the installation code is right above
</body>. It does not work inside<head>. - If you have reissued the key, replace the installation code on your site with the new key and deploy it. The previous key stops working as soon as you reissue, and the current key should appear without an "Inactive" badge under "Manage widget keys directly" in "Connect agent" in the console. - If the "Internet connection lost." banner appears at the bottom right or you use an ad blocker, check again after restoring the connection and turning the extension off.
- In the Cafe24 app, go to Apps > My installed apps > [Manage app] in the Cafe24 admin to open the store dashboard, and check that "Widget" in the connection status sheet at the bottom shows "Installed". If it shows "Not installed", press "Show details" and click "Reinstall widget". The widget appears on product detail and product list pages, and it can take about a minute to apply. If you see the "A voidX widget script from another channel is also installed" warning, remove the script you do not use. If "App status" shows "Expired", pay in "Plans & packs" at the top.
- In the Shopify app, turn on AI Chat Widget under App embeds in the theme editor and click the save button at the top right. Turning on the toggle alone does not apply it.
