Choosing an AI chatbot for Cafe24

Explains the five criteria to check when adding an AI chatbot to a Cafe24 store, with a comparison table based on official pricing pages as of October 2026.

A Cafe24 store owner choosing an AI chatbot looks at five things: how it installs, the monthly fee, the cost per conversation, proactive greetings, and handoff to a human. Billing units differ between services, so comparing monthly fees alone gives a misleading total. This document was written by upfall, the company behind voidX AI. The figures in the table come from each service's official pricing page and Cafe24 App Store listing as of October 29, 2026.

Five criteria

  1. Installation: a Cafe24 app installs without editing the store skin and pulls product data from Cafe24 automatically. A script install needs skin-editing rights and product data has to be registered separately.
  2. Monthly fee: the base plan price. Services that only sell annual contracts are shown as the monthly equivalent.
  3. Cost per conversation: there are three models, token deduction, per-conversation billing, and plan allowance with overage. They only compare once converted to an expected monthly conversation count.
  4. Proactive greetings: the agent speaks first before the visitor asks. Greetings shown without rules increase bounce, so check whether exposure rules exist.
  5. Human handoff: passing a question the agent cannot answer to a person. Needed by stores with support staff.

Prices exclude VAT. "Not published" means the official page gives no figure or feature description. The Channel Talk Startup plan is an annual contract, and onsite messages cost KRW 3 each on top. voidX AI's proactive greetings have four types, on entry, return visit, exit, and scroll, and go out once per visit and at most three times in 24 hours. The full rules are in Proactive greetings.

Cost at 200 conversations a month

Because billing models differ, the same "one conversation" has to be converted to a monthly count. At 200 conversations a month the numbers are as follows.

voidX AI uses 3.2 million tokens for 200 conversations. The Light plan's 600,000 tokens are not enough, so topping up 2.6 million tokens adds KRW 52,000 to the KRW 15,000 fee, for KRW 67,000. The Premium plan includes 5 million tokens a month and ends at KRW 99,000. Top-up tokens do not expire.

Channel Talk charges KRW 140,000 for 200 AI conversations, plus the plan fee. On the Free+ plan the plan fee is KRW 0.

Tidio charges $32.50 for 50 Lyro conversations, and the price for the 200-conversation tier is not on the official page.

Which store picks which

  • A small store with no support staff that wants agent-only answers around the clock: a service with a low flat fee that installs as a Cafe24 app fits. voidX AI is in this group.
  • A store with support staff that wants KakaoTalk and Naver TalkTalk inquiries in one screen: a service built around human handoff, such as Channel Talk, fits.
  • A store aiming to raise conversion through product recommendations: a service focused on recommendations, such as Gentoo, fits.
  • A store that also runs Shopify: Tidio integrates with Shopify but has no Cafe24 app, so the Cafe24 side installs by script.

Installation and whether a developer is needed

The Cafe24 app route finishes when you press install in the App Store and accept the permissions, so no developer is needed. The script route needs skin-editing rights, and the script has to be added again whenever the skin changes.

To prepare for wrong answers, set the agent to say it does not know when a question falls outside its knowledge, and on services without human handoff put contact details into the knowledge base. In voidX AI this setting lives in Knowledge and answers.
